Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit, tax exempt, human services organization which offers a broad range of community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities or traumatic brain injuries. Berkshire County Arc programs are located throughout Berkshire and Hampden counties in Massachusetts.

Berkshire County Arc, Inc. is committed to assisting and supporting individuals in their quest to identify and realize their chosen lifestyles.



  • Anticipate breaking ground soon on three HUD projects, one 6-bedroom home in Pittsfield and two 4-bedroom homes in Lanesboro.
  • Opened a new, accessible home for 4 men with traumatic brain injuries in December 2008 in Westfield. A second Westfield home is under construction and will open in April 2009.
  • Expanded space at the Social Development Center for specialized day habilitation services for individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
  • Developed a rewarding relationship with the Good Dog Foundation to provide therapy dogs in many of BCArc’s programs.
  • Reached a $2.5 million dollar investment in the Special Needs Pooled Trust.
  • Expanded the Saturday Sensory Integration Program for individuals with Autism.
