On the morning of Wednesday, September 11th, 2002, the staff and individuals at the Social Development Center took time to remember America's fallen heroes from the 2001 terror attacks. At 10:00 a.m. everyone at the Center gathered together around a red, white and blue candle to observe a moment of silence. Despite the usual bustle of the center, the room was quiet and still. Following the moment of silence, several individuals led the singing of patriotic songs to celebrate being Americans. People picked their favorite songs to sing, from "The Star-Spangled Banner" to "This is My Country," during which Michael O'Donnell sang a solo for the group.
