VISIONS

March 2001

Pets at BCARC

It's generally accepted that interacting with a pet can reduce blood pressure. People who own pets may even have a longer life-expectancy than those who do not.
If this is true, there are several friends living in BCARC residences that don't often get in the
VISIONS newsletter, but who perhaps deserve to. Indeed, these furry companions are important members of the families of each house and are good friends to everyone else living there.

At 379 Elm St., a gray and white cat meows if no one will play with her and her aluminum ball. Her name is Riggins Marie and she lives with Deb, Marie, Karen and Heide. Their new roommate moved in on December 10th, and she feels right at home. When she isn't playing with her aluminum ball, she is napping on Deb's bed, her favorite place to rest.
At 70 Sampson Parkway, Smurf comes directly to Ann at the snap of a finger . A pleasantly plump cat with beautiful orange markings, Smurf's at home with Patty, Ann, Madeline and Marilyn.
Cleo has the run of the house at 490 S. Main St., where she enjoys the admiration and frequent attention from Carol, Jeanette, Ann, and Juliette.
These unexpected roommates are both valuable and beloved friends to those whose homes they share.
