We hope that you will join us for the Fourth Annual Berkshire Disability Pride Day, which will be held on Saturday, March 24th, 2001, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Berkshire Mall in Lanesboro, MA. As it has for the past three years, the event will be a day of celebration and education to increase community awareness of the accomplishments of persons with diverse abilities and the variety of services and opportunities available in Berkshire County. It will also be a celebration of the eleventh anniversary of the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act. helpful information for parents, and an art show by area artists with disabilities. Anyone needing information about the Saturday event at the mall should contact Barbara Pastie at BCARC at 413-499-4241 ext. 230. This year the Berkshire Disability Pride Day celebration will be expanded to include a legislative forum on empowerment and advocacy for people with disabilities, which will include legislative guest speakers and agency resource sharing.
