On Sunday, January 21, I participated in the 38th Annual United Cerebral Palsy Telethon. This year, the event was televised from two locations: the Crowne Plaza in Pittsfield and Northern Berkshire Television Corporation in North Adams. I was asked to take part in the Pittsfield activities because of my computer studies at UCP. Even though I was very shy at first, I got to tell about my experiences in the computer program. Dowd and Matt Kerwood, Kenneth Singer Executive Director of Berkshire County Arc, Dan Dillon, CEO of Berkshire United Way and Mayor Gerald S. Doyle all lent their support. raised and went directly to UCP in Berkshire county to fund Advocacy programs, Assistive Technology, wheelchair repair, clinics, loaner program of durable medical equipment, Berkshire Family toy Library and support to individuals and their families. I was happy and proud to be a part of it all.
