MAMMI OFORI
Mammi Ofori moved into her new home at Oxford Place in March 2004. Although she was nervous at first, she quickly made friends with her staff, housemates and everyone at her day program. Mammi has continued to prosper over the past three years. Mammi takes great pride in her appearance and enjoys dressing up for special occasions. She has learned to be very patient as staff painstakingly assist her with styling her hair which often includes intricate braids and beads. Mammi is fond of music and singing and enjoys James Taylor. Her very favorite type of music is gospel and her favorite activity is attending services at the Bethany Assembly of God in Agawam. She thoroughly enjoys its large choir and beautiful music. Mammi also loves going to the library for books and movies. Mammi’s father is very important to her and the love that she has for him is quite evident. Mammi has grown in many ways during the past 3 years and will certainly continue to do so as she strives to reach her full potential.
