On May 10, Berkshire County Arc held its forty-eighth annual meeting at the Itam Lodge to organize for the year and to recognize staff and individuals who had made outstanding accomplishments and contributions during the past year. Following greetings from Board President Dr. Mark Pettus, all incumbent officers and members of the board were returned to office following a motion to that effect by Assistant Treasurer Joyce Desgroseillers.
At the conclusion of the business meeting, Dr. Pettus and Executive Director Kenneth Singer presented awards to people and organizations who helped Berkshire County Arc enjoy another banner year. The Prime Outlets at Lee was named Employer of the Year for its efforts in providing employment and for promoting school-to-work transition and vocational development for individuals with disabilities. honored for their service to BCARC, including Employee of the Year Joe Testa, who was cited for not only the excellent manner in which he performs his duties but also for his willingness to go to any length to assist an individual with whom he is working. Also honored were Susan Stransky Outstanding Administrative Employee, Cindy Smith-
