Fishing Derby

Stocking the fish at Wild Acres

The many individuals who participated in the Annual Fishing Derby enjoyed a warm, sunny day for their angling adventures.  The Derby, held at Wild Acres in Pittsfield, offers a pond  stocked with big fish, including a select few tagged for special prizes. Many people from Berkshire County showed up with fishing poles in hand to try to catch the tagged fish.
Congratulations goes out to all who fished with spirit and enthusiasm and especially to those who caught a tagged fish!
Mr. Don George, a former board member and longtime friend of BCARC, was again very instrumental in making this special event a reality for disabled people in this county. As always many thanks to all the volunteers and staff who served refreshments and helped make this event "a real catch".
