Beth truly understands the meaning of “teamwork”, acting as the glue that holds her team together. As director of the North St. program she adheres to the highest standards to assure that the five individuals she supports have all of their needs met. In addition she willingly steps up to the plate to assist other programs. Beth insured that Golden Hill was prepared for the CARF survey and helped to cover Laurel St. while the director was on vacation. Beth has gained the respect of all her staff and co-workers as well as the people she supports. She gets the job done without complaint, is very organized, and is a natural problem solver who excels under pressure. And through it all Beth is always able to say “I love my job!” Submitted by: Rhodora Higgins, Linda Savary and Jennifer Smith |

This award represents the highest level of accreditation achievable and is a reflection of not only the current services that the agency provides people with developmental disabilities but also the established pattern that is likely to be maintained or improved in the near future. BCARC through this accreditation process has also demonstrated that its programs and services are of the highest quality and are measurable and accountable. This is BCARC’s eighth CARF accreditation. Executive Director Ken Singer was satisfied with the survey saying, “I am extremely proud of the wonderful effort made by staff and consumers to reach these high standards. CARF is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services for the people who are served by BCARC and other organizations.” Berkshire County Arc is honored to have received this award which represents that hard work and dedication of its staff. |
