Berkshire County Community Spotlight |
Berkshire County Arc extends sincere appreciation to the Berkshire Life Charitable Fund which recently awarded the agency with a $10,000 grant for its Respite Program. The funds will be used to support individuals who have different reasons for |
using the Respite House. Some stay as a support for their families with whom they are living. Others are at the house to have a safe place to live when a parent passes away or there is suspected abuse in the home. The Charitable Fund also |
recently exemplified community support for people with disabilities by giving Berkshire County Arc a grant to support three men in working at Hancock Shaker Village. The men enjoy their work, and are proud of the results of their labor in the gardens at the Village. BCARC appreciates the support from this area organization that aids in “...assisting and supporting individuals in their quest to identify and realize their chosen lifestyles.” |
